Creating Ironborn is always an interesting mix of long-time planning and frenzied improvisation; the time between the conception of a scene and the start of its production ranges from hours to months. This next scene is one of the oldest, its original storyboard dating back to February last year. It’s fun to get to draw it at last.

By the way, that lamp in the hallway? It’s from 1792. I found it in a Stockholm antique store. I don’t think this counts as product placement, because I can’t remember the name of the premises.

Will you look at that! It’s almost as if I’m getting somewhere with this.

My genetics course inspired me to a geeky joke that I simply couldn’t resist sharing. I dedicate it to my incomparable high school biotechnology teacher, Tamara Elmfors, who’s been known to read my comic. Mrs Elmfors, if you don’t get it, please let me know; I’d love to gloat.
