Slowing down a bit

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

Two pages a week was a lot of fun while it lasted, but regrettably - in light of the full-time physics course I’m taking as of last week - it’s not really a realistic output. I’ve decided to step down to 1.5 pages a week for some time ahead - one page/two pages alternate weeks.

To even out the schedule, page 28 will be delayed until Wednesday next week - after that I’ll only update Sundays.

Hope you understand!

Wednesday edit: There’s page 28.

Another late-night update

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

Ah, I love drawing Purity. I’ll probably grow tired of it pretty soon, but at the moment it’s immensely fiddly and entertaining.

Today’s page was delayed a few hours by incomprehensible quadratic formulas. Please have patience with me.

Hope you like panel five, because it took me an arse of a long time.

Ironborn Chapter Two

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

End of chapter one

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

There’s page twenty-five, and with that we bid farewell to the Verge, and to the first chapter of Ironborn. Hope you’ve enjoyed the ride so far!

I stayed up slightly late to finish this page, but it was worth it. (Heck, I have my own procrastinating self to blame anyway.) Had some fun studying horses and mail coaches, too.

Chapter two begins on Sunday, same channel and all that.

Vague anniversary

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

Page twenty-four is up. I really hate ending a page - not to mention starting the next page - in the middle of a dialogue like this. I considered skipping today’s update and releasing both pages on Thursday instead, but it seemed like a better idea to just go with the schedule. I hope you agree.

By the way, the first ever concept sketch of Opal is dated October 13, 2006. That means yesterday was her birthday, and technically the conceptual birthday of this whole comic project. Physically, Ironborn is a few months old; in my head it’s existed for a year. Feels neat.

Hey, to celebrate, here’s the first full-color piece of official Ironborn artwork ever! More will follow.
